Lunar Series III is the Perth Mint's current twelve-year cycle of Chinese zodiac coins, which began with the Rat in 2020. The Goat is its eighth animal. The gold design shows a goat on a rugged mountain plain beside a solitary tree, together with the Chinese character for 'goat', the 2027 date and the 'P' mintmark. Struck in 999.9 gold, each coin is Australian legal tender, issued in a capsule and limited to a fixed mintage.
