About this coin
The Gold Maple Leaf has been struck by the Royal Canadian Mint since 1979 and was one of the first bullion coins in 999.9 gold. Modern Maples carry radial lines across the field, a tiny laser-engraved maple leaf with the year privy ('27'), and the Mint's Bullion DNA anti-counterfeiting system. King Charles III is on the obverse. Canadian legal tender.
